Description

According to Wine Spectator, Brunello di Montalcino 2011 got 91 points. This wine is on the lean, elegant side, with more savory than fruity flavors. Spiced cherry, underbrush, tobacco and Szechuan peppercorn notes prevail, leaving a lingering sweetness on the finish.

According to Robert Parker, this wine offers a thick interpretation of Sangiovese. It pulls out the smokey and resin-like character of the grape with dark fruit nuances. It is rich. It is dense in terms of texture, but the tannins are soft.
